OUR STORY

Growing healthy food, building community, and sharing our passion from the heart of Fiordland.

At Peak Produce, we're a family-owned business with a simple mission: to grow the freshest, most nutritious microgreens possible while making healthy eating easy, accessible and enjoyable.

Inspired by the pristine environment of Fiordland, we combine modern growing technology with traditional family values to produce premium microgreens packed with flavour, colour and nutrition. Every tray is grown with care, harvested by hand, and delivered fresh to homes, cafés, restaurants and businesses throughout our community.

But Peak Produce is about much more than growing microgreens—it's about family, health, community, and creating something meaningful together.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Peak Produce began with a simple idea: grow fresh, nutritious food locally and share it with the people around us.

In 2020, just before the Covid-19 pandemic, Glenn and Jo started growing microgreens in Whangamatā under the name Better Greens. What began as a small venture quickly grew into a full-time family business supplying homes, cafés and restaurants throughout the Coromandel.

After seeing the difference fresh microgreens made to everyday meals, Glenn and Jo shared what they had learned with Glenn’s parents, Linda and Lloyd, in Te Anau. The plan was simply to help them grow a few trays for themselves and some friends. Before long, they were hooked too—and a thriving little business began supplying locals and many of Te Anau’s cafés and restaurants.

In 2025, Glenn and Jo returned to Fiordland with their family. Better Greens was sold to a new owner in the north, while the family’s next chapter took root in Te Anau.

Peak Produce brings that journey together: years of hands-on growing experience, a love of fresh food, and a shared belief that small greens can make a big difference.

GROWN BY FAMILY. HARVESTED AT THEIR PEAK. SHARED WITH OUR COMMUNITY.
